Dr. Geller then completed one year in his pediatric residency at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, New York.
Next, Dr. Geller obtained a staff associate position at the National Institutes of Health division of biologics standards where he completed research in allergenic extracts and vaccinations, including pertussis — or whooping cough. Passionate about bringing his experience in research to patients, Dr. Geller returned to pediatric care for two years at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center in Los Angeles.
In 1972, Dr. Geller joined the department of allergy and immunology at USC as a fellow. He has been in practice in Santa Monica since 1972. Dr. Geller is also a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is board certified in allergy and immunology as well as pediatrics.
